Our Focus

Individualized attention

We offer personalized feedback and training catered to each athlete’s unique long term development arc.

Teamwork

The Hydra will not defeat its opponents if the heads don’t work together. We teach how to contribute to a team and become a valued member of the basketball community.

Passion

We hope to instill a love of the game and a tenacious spirit of competition.

About us

Hydra is run by Erik Otto, who has coached youth basketball for the last 5 years in Victoria. Erik was an Ottawa high school all star and played U Sports basketball at the University of Guelph.

The club is also supported by a community of basketball-savvy parents and external coaching from post-secondary level players.

We are a small, independent club. Our goal is to develop one or two U11-U15 boys teams who are passionate about basketball and willing to put in the work. We are currently forming a U15 boys team for Night League and other competitive events for the fall of 2026. Reach out if you are interested!
